Burglars decamp with Rs 10,000 cash, jewellery from house

Burglars struck again in different parts of the city and targeted a shop and a house on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.

In the first incident, burglars struck at a house at Rajguru Nagar of Sarabha Nagar and decamped with jewellery and cash.

Aashima Arora of Rajguru Nagar said he had gone to visit her relatives on January 11. On Friday, when she came back she was shocked to see the locks were broken and house was ransacked.

She stated that burglars had stolen diamond ring, gold ring, silver utensils, other jewellery and `10,000 cash from the house. The police have registered a case against unidentified burglars in this context.
In another case, a gang of burglars had decamped with thread and cash from a shop in Vishnupuri area on the same night. Shop owner Hardial Singh Middha said he came to know about the incident on Friday morning, when the neighbours telephoned him.

Hardial Singh said he immediately rushed to the shop. He said burglars had stolen `35,000 cash, and thread worth `35,000 from the shop. The Salem Tabri police have initiated investigation.
