development projects

Singla remarked that he has been constantly endeavoring to bring development projects to his constituency in the last five years as an MP and Akalis only contribution has been to create hurdles and get cheap publicity, whether it was the Cancer Hospital project or sewerage funding.

“The state government does not have the capacity to deliver with an empty treasury. The tall claims and promises are only to fool the honest Punjabis as only Congress can bring development in Sangrur, which needs special focus on health and education. I had managed to bring some big projects for Sangrur and will continue working for the constituency if I get elected again,” he added.

Meanwhile, Dhindsa too promises to bring more big developmental projects to Sangrur and generate more job opportunities for the educated youths of the region. “We will also take steps for women empowerment by making them self dependent,” he said adding, “Special focus will be laid on the development of the rural and agriculture areas and we will also continue with our efforts to make Sangrur drug-free”.

About the suicide hit families he said, “We are already providing compensation to these families and in future we will take steps to ensure income of farmers 50 per cent above the prosecution cost.”

Bhagwant Mann says, “We will start from the beginning, as the past leaders did not do anything for Sangrur. First of all, I will take steps to improve the education and health services in the region where thousands of people are suffering with deadly diseases like cancer. I think a lot is needed to be done for the job security of youths and for protection of women.”
