Taking a dig at Punjab Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh, chief minister Parkash Singh Badal said his dream to become the CM for the second time would not come true.

Speaking on the sidelines of a “sangat darshan” in the Amargarh assembly segment on Sunday, Badal said Amarinder was “day dreaming” to assume power in the state. “He had also planned celebrations for the formation of the government during the 2012 assembly polls, but the people of state rejected his style of politics and gave mandate to the Akali-BJP alliance,” said Badal. The CM said agriculture was no longer a profitable venture owing to wrong policies of the Congress governments.

Terming the Aam Aadmi Party a company of comedians, the CM said: “They can make people laugh, but can never be good administrators.”

The entire nation has watched the character of AAP leaders, ministers and MLAs on television, he said, adding it was shameful that the leaders of this party, which claims to be votary of morality, were indulging in such immoral activities. Badal also said that people strongly disapprove the type of language used by Amarinder against his detractors. (With PTI inputs)
