The Congress leaders as well as workers have hailed the decision of the newly appointed president of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC), Captain Amarinder Singh, to revoke the expulsion of all the workers who were ousted for various reasons in the recent past.

Former chief of the district Congress committee (urban), Ludhiana, Pawan Dewan said it was a good decision taken by Captain Amrinder Singh.

He said, “I have been working for party and people for long and will continue to do so. All Congress members will work together for Punjab legislative assembly elections 2017.”

It is worth mentioning here that in 2014, Pawan Dewan and others including Palwinder Singh Taggar, Baljinder Singh Bunty, Satwinder Jawaddi and Vinod Bhatla were expelled from the party for confrontation with former PPCC president Partap Singh Bajwa.

Meanwhile, the other members who were expelled from the party also welcomed the decision. They claimed that they would work to strengthen the party.
