Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh on Friday stormed the Dayalpura police station and offered to get arrested to protest against alleged false cases slapped against former MLA Gurpreet Singh Kangar and several others.

However, the Station House Officer (SHO) had left the police station before the arrival of PPCC president.

Capt Amarinder warned the Akali-BJP government that in case it did not stop the vendetta against Congress workers, they would be forced to come out on the streets.

He said that despite the Chief Minister's claims, several cases due to vendetta had been registered in different parts of the state. He announced that he would visit each and every worker who had been victimized.

The PCC chief was accompanied by senior leaders, including PCC general secretaries Harminder Jassi, Fateh Jang Bajwa, Kushaldeep 'Kikki' Dhillon, Arvind Khanna, Rana Gurjeet, Joginder Singh Panjgraian, Darshan Singh Brar, Ajit Singh Shant, Chiranji Lal Garg and others.
