Car falls into canal : police recovered boy's mobile from car

The Sirhind police has recovered mobile phone of missing youth Naginder Singh from the car. After recovery of the youth's Skoda car,the police is making efforts to locate bodies of the boy and the girl,said a senior police officer.

It may be mentioned here that a Skoda car with a youth and a girl fell into the Narwana branch of Bhakra Canal near Sanipur village in Fatehgarh Sahib on Saturday. There is no clarity on whether it was a suicide attempt. Nothing is also known about the cause of the fall.The occupants of the car have been identified as Naginder Singh (22),a resident of Kurali in Rupnagar, and the girl has been identified as Kirandeep Kaur, a resident of Bhagat Singh Colony, Khanna. Naginder was a student of civil engineering at DAV College, Jalandhar.

Kirandeep was working with a telecom company in Mandi Gobindgarh.Family of Naginder had said that they did not know anything about Kirandeep and could not explain her presence with their son. How the youth and the girl reached there and what was they doing there is still a mystery.
