Case of rape in Muktsar, molestation in Bathinda registered

Even the nation is shocked with continuous rape cases being registered, now Muktsar police has booked an accused for raping a fifteen-year-old minor girl of Muktsar town. In another case Bathinda police has booked two accused for molesting a village girl.

On complaint of victim, the Muktsar city police on Thursday had registered a case against accused Gagandeep Singh of Muktsar for raping a fifteen-year-old schoolgirl of Muktsar town. The victim a student of private school uses to go school by walk after crossing the Railway crossing at Maur road daily.

"It's a doubtful case as the relations were developed between the victim and accused. The victim is student at private school and use to cross Railway crossing while on her way to school while the accused was having a shop near the Railway crossing. We had booked accused under section of Rape (376 of IPC)." Said SSP Muktsar Surjit Singh.

In another case, Bathinda police has arrested accused Sumandeep Singh and Sandeep Singh of village Ramgarh in Bathinda for molesting a girl of Barnala who was here in village Manjuke (next to Ramgarh village) to spend her winter holidays. Victim is student of BA final year student at private college in Barnala.

Investigating officer in the molestation case Sub Inspector Mohinderjit SINgh said, "the accused were living in neighboring village of Manjuke village where the victim had came to spent her holidays. Mother of victim is already dead while father worked in Barnala. Both the accused allegedly entered into the house of girl and molested her. Accused have been arrested under section 351, 354, and 34 of Indian Penal Code.
