Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani, on Wednesday said it had announced the result of its first ever entrance exams within a record time of four hours.
The university held the entrance test for MCom and MA (English) in two shifts on Tuesday.
A spokesperson of the varsity said a total of 323 candidates appeared in the entrance exams.
Soon after the second shift was over, the spokesperson added, the university authorities ensured that the results were prepared in a "transparent" and "time-bound" manner.
"Finally, the result was put on the university website at 7.00 pm and the candidates were informed about it through SMS," the spokesperson said.
Moreover, the university has also introduced negative marking in the entrance exams. "We have introduced the concept of negative marking to make certain that only those students get admission in our university who are academically excellent and serious about their further studies," said Prof Bhagwan Singh, registrar of the university.
The entrance exams for various courses of the university commenced from Tuesday and will end on July 5.
