CBSE Class 12 Board result: Vithal Bhandari tops Jalandhar district with 97.6%
He had also bagged 1,558 rank at national-level in JEE mains
The results of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) were declared on Sunday. Vithal Bhandari, 18, from Delhi Public School is the district topper with 97.6%(488/500) percent in non-medical stream.
He had also bagged 1,558 rank at national-level in JEE mains. Vithal lives with his mother Sonu Bhandari, who is into accounts business.
An emotional Sonu said that her son has made the family proud. Vithal who loves to paint said, “Earlier I used to play badminton but gave up the sports for two years.” “I want to pursue studies in computer engineering. I am waiting for JEE advanced results,” Vithal said.
Aastha Bhandari of MGN School, Urban estate Phase II has scored 97.2%(486/500) in commerce. She wants to pursue economics honours from Delhi University (DU). Aastha’s parents were out of station. “I want to share this with my parents,” said Aastha. “I had asked them not to go, but there was uncertainty over the result date,” she said. Bhandari said that she did self study and took tuition only for accounts subject. “I was not able to eat today as I was waiting for the results. I am satisfied that my hard work has off,” she said.
Navdeet Kaur Gill of MGN School, Adarsh Nagar was busy on the result day as she was taking AIIMS exam. Kaur has scored 96.6% (483/500)in medical stream. “My daughter worked really hard and we are proud of her,” she said. Mansimar Sachdeva from Cambridge International School for Girls is humanities topper in the district with 95.4%(477/500).
