CCE introduced in govt schools

With an aim to improve learning levels of students and teaching in all government schools, the Haryana government has decided to carry out continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) of students of Classes 1 to 8.

With an aim to improve learning levels of students and teaching in all government schools, the Haryana government has decided to carry out continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) of students of Classes 1 to 8.

A spokesman of the school education department said on Friday that for the current academic session 2014-15, in all the government schools in the state, monthly tests in each subject would be conducted for all the students studying in the said classes by the school teachers.

The spokesman said the headmasters or head teachers would be responsible for ensuring smooth conduct of these tests.

Cop caught taking bribe


Chandigarh: The Haryana state vigilance bureau has caught a head constable, Surender Singh, posted at police station, Hansi sadar, in Hisar district red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from one Sarwan Kumar, a resident of Hisar, for discharging a complainant in a injury case.
