A female player of the Chandigarh Kho Kho Association has moved the district court, accusing joint secretary of the association PS Lamba, who was her coach, and general secretary Harbhushan Gulati of sexual harassment.

Urging the court to register a first information report (FIR) against the two, court of civil judge Rekha Chaudhary has sought a status report from the women cell of the UT police. The case will now be taken up on April 5.

Counsel for the complainant Amita Verma claimed that at least 10 girls were sexually harassed by the duo, yet the police failed to register a case. The female players had filed a complaint on January 18 with the Chandigarh SSP, but no action was taken.

As per the complaint submitted in the court, “On many occasions during training sessions and sports camps, PS Lamba used vulgar and filthy language and shared adult pictures as well as videos with the students, and touched their private parts.” He would allegedly blackmail them over medals, the complaint said.

The complainant has stated that both the secretaries sexually had harassed many kho-kho players since March, 2015. The complainant also alleged that both Lamba and Gulati took bribe while selecting players for national games.
