Chandigarh youth injured as jeep runs down gorge in J&K

Two participants of 17th Raid de Himalaya car rally sustained injuries when their jeep skidded off the road in mountainous area of Bhaderwah in Doda district on Tuesday.

Two participants of 17th Raid de Himalaya car rally sustained injuries when their jeep skidded off the road in mountainous area of Bhaderwah in Doda district on Tuesday.

The jeep was on its way to Bhaderwah from Himachal Pradesh when it met with the accident near Mushdev Nallah and rolled down a 100-feet deep gorge.

One of the injured riders was identified as Samrat, son of Shezad Yadav, and is a resident of Chandigarh. The other is Gourav, son of Sham Sunder, a resident of Bilaspur.

The police and local people rushed to spot, rescued the two motorists and shifted them to sub-district hospital Bhaderwah, from where both were airlifted to PGIMER, Chandigah, for specialised treatment.
