18 IPS, 7 PPS officers transferred

The Punjab government on Wednesday transferred 18 IPS and 7 PPS officers with immediate effect. The government appointed SK Sharma as DGP prisons and RP Singh as ADGP traffic.  Sharma would also continue with the community policing wing, a spokesman here said.

The other senior officers with fresh postings are Jasminder Singh (ADGP/IT and telecom), CSR Reddy (ADGP, training, in addition to director, Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur, with headquarters at Chandigarh), Rajpal Meena (ADGP, provisioning), VK Bhawra (director, bureau of investigation), Rohit Choudhary (ADGP, railway police, Patiala), IPS Sahota (ADGP-cum-managing director, Punjab Police Housing Corporation), Sanjeev Kalra (IG, Armed Battalions, Jalandhar), BK Garg (IG, law and order), Gautam Cheema (IG, IT), Rakesh Chandra (IG, Commando, Bahadurgarh, Patiala), Mukhwinder Singh Chinna (DIG, IT and telecom), Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh (DIG, Jalandhar range), Yurinder Singh (Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar), Gurpreet Toor (SSP, Gurdaspur), Bikram Pal Singh Bhatty (deputy commissioner police, Amritsar), Gursharan Singh (Commandant-cum-deputy director, PPA, Phillaur) and
Gurpreet Singh Gill (Commandant, 3rd Commando Battalion, Mohali).

The reshuffled PPS officers are Sukhwant Singh (SSP, Ferozepur), Manminder Singh (SSP, Batala), Manmohan Kumar (SSP, Tarn Taran), Jasdeep Singh Saini (SSP, Amritsar-rural) and Jatinder Singh Khaira (SSP, Moga) and Rajjit Singh (SSP, Hoshiarpur).
