2 IAS, 1 IPS officers under VB scanner

The registration of 107 investigations by the Haryana vigilance bureau has brought the conduct of two IAS, one IPS, six HCS officers and some other senior officers under its scrutiny in 2013.


Stating that the complaints against them were of corruption, misappropriation of government funds and owning disproportionate assets, an official release said on Wednesday that other such officers included one superintending engineer, eight executive engineers, three tehsildars, five sub-divisional officers and 78 other officials of different departments.

As many as 132 investigations have been finalised by the bureau so far and recommended registration of 24 criminal cases against 26 gazetted officers, 22 non-gazetted officers and 28 other officials. Departmental action had been recommended in 57 inquiries against delinquent officials so far during the current year.
