3 killed in road mishaps in SAS Nagar

Three people, including a woman, lost their ives in three separate road mishaps, in parts of SAS Nagar on Monday. A bike-borne youth was crushed under a truck at Samgoli on Rampur-Jolla link road near Dera Bassi, on Sunday late night. The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Mohan Singh, a resident of Samgoli village in SAS Nagar.

He collided head-on with a truck and fell on the road, following which his head got crushed under the front wheel of the truck. The police have sent the body for post-mortem, after registering a case.

In another incident, an elderly woman was killed after a speeding vehicle ran over her while she was crossing the road at Lalru Mandi on Ambala-Chandigarh highway on Sunday night. Lalru police have registered a case. 

Dharmendra Chaudhry, a 22-year-old was run over by an unknown train near Lalru on Ambala-Kalka railway track last night.

He used to work at a roadside dhaba. GRP, Lalru, have sent the body for post-mortem and investigations are on.
