35 PCS officers transferred

The Punjab government on Wednesday transferred 35 Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officers with immediate effect.

An official spokesperson has stated here that Amit Talwar now will be general manager (personnel and administration), PUNSUP; Neeraj Kumar, assistant commissioner (general), Kapurthala; and Vijay Kumar Syal, assistant commissioner (general) and in addition assistant commissioner (grievances), Faridkot.

Rajat Oberoi is SDM (subdivisional magistrate), Batala; Lovjeet Kalsi, DTO (district transport officer), Amritsar, and in addition estate officer, Amritsar Development Authority; Ravjot Grewal, assistant commissioner (grievances), Fatehgarh Sahib; Kamaljot Kaur, assistant commissioner (grievances), Rupnagar; Navreet Kaur Sekhon, assistant commissioner (general) and in addition assistant commissioner (grievances), Sangrur; Narinder Singh-1, assistant commissioner (general), Bathinda; and Navraaj Singh Brar, assistant commissioner (general) Ludhiana.

CHB refunds allottees’ money with interest, accrues Rs 3.5-cr loss

The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has suffered a loss of Rs 6.5 crore in four projects at different times over the past three decades, including paying Rs 3.5 crore as interest to allottees of houses in a project it was to execute in partnership with the Parsvnath Developers Ltd, at the Information Technology Park (near the Lalit Hotel), after the project could not be finished in the mandated 36 months after its launch in October 2006.
