72 issued challans forencroachment in Chandigarh

In a special anti-encroachment drive the enforcement wing of the Chandigarh municipal corporation on Monday removed illegal encroachments from various markets of the city and issued challans to 72 violators. During the course of drive the enforcement team removed encroachments from Patel Market, Sector 15, Rock Garden, Sector 26, Sector 18 market, and Sector 22.

Various unauthorised items, including electronic items, iron racks, ladies suits, readymade garments, gas cylinder, bags, jack, shoes, rehries etc were removed and seized from the municipal land.

The drive was carried out under the directions of Sarita Malik, joint commissioner and supervision of Sunil Dutt, inspector (enforcement), and all sub-inspectors of enforcement wing of the Chandigarh municipal corporation.
