All BCom course seats in UT pool filled

All the seats in the UT pool for BCom stream got filled during the centralised admission for all city colleges underway at Panjab University (PU) here.

Seats under the said quota were available only in two colleges and admission to the remaining 98 seats in Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector 45, Chandigarh, and Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh, was taken by students on Sunday during the third day of counselling at PU.

The cut-off was 85.6 per cent and the girl student ranked 1785 was the last rank in UT general pool to get admission at Dev Samaj College for Women while at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, the cut-off was 84.4% and the girl student ranked 1859 was the last rank in UT general pool to secure admission.

Counselling for all categories also started at 2 pm on Sunday and continued till 7 pm.

Couselling for physically challenged, grandchildren of freedom fighters, riot victims/ terrorist victims in UT pool and sports, defence, single girl child, ward of displaced Kashmiri migrants, cancer/Aids/thalassemia patients of common pool was also held.
