Allowance for ANMs, LHVs

Haryana government has decided to grant mother and child care allowance of Rs. 1,000 per month to the auxiliary nurse midwives (ANMs) and lady health visitors (LHVs) of health department in the state. Besides, the uniform allowance of ANMs has also been increased from Rs. 550 to Rs. 900.


Stating that a notification to this effect was issued by the health department here on Wednesday, an official release said that the decisions would benefit 2,605 ANMs and 500 LHVs in the state.

Expressing gratitude, the multipurpose women health workers association state general secretary Krishan Rana said that with these decisions, their long pending demand had been fulfilled.
