Anandpur Sahib MP condemns Saharanpur clashes

Terming the communal riots between the Sikhs and Muslims in traditionally peaceful area of Saharanpur town of Uttar Pradesh as unfortunate Prem Singh Chandumanra, MP from Anandpur Sahib, here on Tuesday urged the central government  that it should ensure the security and safety of lives and property of the Sikh community living in trouble torn state.

Chandumajra who was in the town to participate in a religious function said communal riot in Saharanpur was neither incited by any political leades or religious person but was the handiwork of some mischievous elements that were out to disturb peace in the area.

He appealed to the people to remain vigilant as disruptive forces were active to carry out their nefarious designs. He said violence cannot solve any problem and if there was any dispute the people should resolve the same in peaceful and democratic manner.
