The state Cyber Crime Cell, SAS Nagar, on Saturday arrested another accused in connection with the uploading of the video showing senior Punjab IAS officer Kahan Singh Pannu being assaulted in Uttarakhand.
The accused, Sukhwinder Singh, was sent to two-day police custody after being produced in the court.
According to the police, Sukhwinder, a resident of Ludhiana, is known to Gurvinder Singh, the accused arrested earlier.
He was arrested with the help of the local police.
Meanwhile, the police also got a two-day remand for Gurvinder, who was sent to judicial custody on Thursday.
In all, four accused have been arrested so far. Baljinder Singh of Kanakwal (Bathinda) and Gursevak Singh of Patiala are already in police remand.
All of them have been booked under Section 66-A of the Information Technology Act and Sections 295-A, 298 (both pertaining to hurting religious sentiments), 500 (defamation) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
