Accused Vineet Singh is a resident of Sector 44 in Chandigarh. Police have also seized from him a Tata Safari SUV reportedly used in the crime.

Vineet is said to be known to 19-year-old Gurpreet Singh Brar, the main accused in the case.

Police have already arrested Brar and Jaswinder Singh in connection with the case registered on March 3 at phase 11 police station on the complaint of Mohan Inder Singh.

As per his complaint, a group of youths barged into his house-cum-office and enquired about him. Since he was not present, the assailants smashed the windowpanes of his house, an LCD TV and a refrigerator and even the bathroom and kitchen.

Police claimed that Brar had planned the attack on financier Mohan Inder Singh for misbehaving with Brar's sister at a function about two weeks prior to the vandalism.
