Despite an open declaration by BJP national president Amit Shah on August 14 at Mahendergarh rally that the alliance with Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) would be on the lines of Lok Sabha seat sharing arrangement, HJC supremo Kuldeep Bishnoi is still hopeful to get half assembly seats as per 2011 conditions.

Bishnoi during a press interaction on Sunday here said that HJC was firm on fighting on seats as per 2011 alliance conditions and it was up to the saffron party to honour its words.

Reiterating his party's stand, he said that they had called a meeting of working committee on August 19 to deliberate on the issue. He urged scribes to not consider their August 19 meeting a deadline to decide on alliance and wait till BJP finally came out with final stance.

Former minister Subhash Batra, along with several others, joined HJC in Rohtak on Sunday.
