Bollywood's quintessential mom Kirron Kher turns 59

A woman who envelops quintessential qualities, dynamism and charisma is better known as Kirron Kher by the masses.  The people of Chandigarh now look upto her as their new leader,  as this year's elections crowned her as the new MP of the city beautiful.
 
Today on 14 June as she celebrates her 59th birthday, we take a small peek into her life.

Kirron has gained her name as the mother figure of Bollywood, relating to the notable roles she's played in the Bollywood flicks.

Kirron started her career in the year 1983 with a Punjabi movie Aasra Pyaar Da, which slipped down the silver screen without a trace, paving path for her first onscreen recognition from the movie Pestonjee (1988).

In the year 2003, playing the role of Sumrita, woman full of life and joy, stuck to the basic roots of the societal regimes but supports the love of her daughter Paro (Aishwarya Rai Bachhan), in Devdas (2002) helped her win the IIFA Best Supporting Actress Award.

Moving on, in the year 2006, Rang De Basanti crowned her with Star Screen Award Best Supporting Actress.

Next came, Karan Johar's Main Hoon Na, which added another feather to Kirron's cap as she flawlessly played the role of a casual yet caring mother.

Recently movies like Dostana and Total Siyapaa have unveiled a comic side of Kirron to the masses. She has entertained the viewers with her fabulous expressions and rib tickling punches.
