Chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday said that he has asked power minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav to reconsider his  decision to resign from the council of ministers.  "Wait till tomorrow. I am waiting for his response,'' he told mediapersons, who wanted to know whether the power minister will accede to his request.

Capt Yadav who had resigned as a minister on Tuesday had cited lopsided development, neglect of his constituency, discrimination in recruitments and his being completely sidelined as the reasons for quitting.  He on Wednesday also met party in-charge for Haryana affairs Shakeel Ahmed.

When asked as to why his own party colleagues were antagonised with him, the chief minister said: "No one was annoyed because of me. They are just serving their vested interests. When people start conveying their annoyance near the polls, one can presume the motive,'' he said.

Asked to comment on allegations of regional bias in terms of development and jobs, the chief minister said that it was not the case. " If someone rakes this issue after 10 years, one can very well understand the intentions,'' he said.

Replying to a query on the controversy over appointments in the State Information Commission and Right to Service Commission, the chief minister defended them by saying they were done absolutely legally and by following the procedure. On the controversy generated following exchange of text messages between chief secretary SC Choudhary and secretary, administrative reforms, Pradeep Kasni,  the chief minister said the matter was between two friends. " I have got nothing to do with it,'' he said.

Hooda reiterated that he could consider contesting assembly election from Indri segment in Karnal. "I have an emotional connect with the area as I had studied at the Sainik School, Kunjpura. If all the 19 contenders and people of the area give their consent, I can consider contesting from Indri,'' he said.

Parti re-appointed media adviser to CM
Haryana government on Wednesday re-appointed Sunil Parti as additional media adviser to the chief minister. Parti who was once close to former minister Venod Sharma had resigned from the post during the Lok Sabha polls.
