Centre okays 40 more BAMS seats for Patiala college

The central government has sent its approval to add 40 seats of the BAMS (bachelor of ayurveda medicine and surgery) course for Ayurvedic College, Patiala.

Punjab medical education and research minister Anil Joshi said he had recently taken up the issue of increasing the college’s seats with union minister of health and family welfare Dr Harsh Vardhan, who had accepted the demand.

Education dept to hire consellors to tackle violence

Keeping in view the increase in violence at government schools in the city of late, the UT education department has started the process to hire 87 counsellors to provide help to students. ile 40 counsellors will be hired for senior secondary schools, the rest will be for high schools.
