Check poll code violations, state CEO tells DCs

Presiding over a meeting of all DCs to review poll arrangements, Singh said his office was getting complaints regarding the issuance of blue cards, bicycles, distribution of wheat by involving local political workers, hoardings and defacement of public property. He said after the implementation of the model code, it became imperative for all district electoral officers (DEOs) and deputy commissioners to ensure that there should not be any violation.

Besides all deputy commissioners, additional CEOs Raminder Singh and B Purushartha were present at the meeting.
