Continuing with agitation for removal of Education Minister Sikandar Singh Maluka from Cabinet, the congressmen from Patiala district on Tuesday held a protest at Chandigarh.

Though Congressmen had planned to protest outside the Chief Minister's residence, but they were stopped at Sector 12.

Led by PPCC Vice President Charanjit Singh Channi, District President Hardial Singh Kamboj and former MLA Madan Lal Jalalpur, the congressmen raised slogans against Akali-BJP Government for shielding the Maluka.
The leaders said that by suspending the three officials including DPI (Primary), the government has admitted the scam, thus the minister should be sacked from the Cabinet, as he had initiated the scam.

The protestor handed over a demand letter for removal of Maluka, to the Sandeep Hans, Officer on Special Duty with the CM.

Ironically, Congress is holding district wise protest against for the removal of Maluka, since the scam in education department had hit the newspapers.
