Dental Sciences College has decided not to levy any additional for damage to laboratory items on students. It currently charges Rs 16,000 annually for breakage charges.

The decision was taken in a meeting held between students and committee members chaired by college principal Ashish Jain on Monday.

After National Students of India (NSUI) had held a protest on Saturday, dean, student welfare, Navdeep Goyal had setup a panel to look into their demands.

The committee also decided to urge PU to disburse the breakage charges collected from the students. The institute promised to provide a generator and grant hostel facilities to students who are yet to get it by October 15.
