Doc arrested for sending lewd messages

In less than a fortnight, Dr Rajan Jain was arrested for sending lewd messages to a girl. Dr Jain, a postgraduate student of Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, was booked for sending lewd messages to a girl pursuing a postgraduate course at the institute.


The victim had submitted a complaint to the police that Dr Rajan Jain, pursuing his MD in psychiatry department at GMCH-32, sent objectionable messages to her and her family. The doctor had been booked by the police on March 21.

Police sources said the girl knew the doctor for the past few months, and had recently got engaged.

Dr Jain started making calls and sending lewd messages to the girl following her engagement. The police registered a case in the matter and the issue was referred to crime against women cell and child support unit. 

The police sources said Dr Jain was arrested on Monday and would be produced in the court on Tuesday.
