Drunk ASI suspended in Panchkula

Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Ashwin Shenvi suspended an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) who was found drunk on duty on Monday. The ASI, posted with the traffic police, was on duty at Majri Chowk when a complaint was received against him. Soon, the traffic wing in-charge was sent there who got the ASI's medical test conducted.

As the test found he was drunk, the DCP ordered his suspension.
