From Big B to Priyanka Chopra, Bollywood tweets on World Cup final

They came, they saw and they conquered. After thrashing hosts, Brazil, 7-1 in the semi-final, Germany got the better of Argentina 1-0 in the extra time to lift the FIFA World Cup for the fourth time. Though it was a heart-break for admirable (Lionel) Messi and his team, Germany proved to be a better side at the end of the day.

An electrifying final by all measures, the 120 minutes of the match was enjoyed by one and all. Our Bollywood celebrities, who have been ardent supporters of the world's most beautiful game, were no different and took on to the micro-blogging site Twitter to express their agony and ecstasy.

Big B, who had gone to Brazil to enjoy the World Cup final, tweeted a picture of him holding the replica of the trophy saying:

Meanwhile King (Shah Rukh) Khan too seemed all excited and congratulated Germany saying "You own the world". Though an ardent football fan, Abhishek Bachchan who had been following the game religiously, preferred to focus on his father's new project (Yudh) and wished him luck for the same. Meanwhile Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania, Alia Bhatt, who had been supporting Germany, applauded her team and tweeted: The Ishaqzade girl Parineeti Chopra, meanwhile, apart from watching the players fight for the ball, also seemed to keep a tab on the referees. She even went on to advise them to join the Bollywood:
The Bobby Jasoos producer and former beauty queen Dia Mirza however stuck to her favourites Argentina even in their defeat. She cheered up the losing team and tweeted: However, choreographer Geeta kapur, found herself in a fix as both her favourite teams were pitted against each other in the final. She expressed her displeasure tweeting: Meanwhile Virr Das was in awe for the strategy adopted by Germany and appreciated the winners saying: The Ram of Ram Leela, Ranvir Singh, too took on to the social networking site to congratulate the winners. He tweeted:

Meanwhile, the gang of Wassesypur girl Huma Qureshi just informed the world about the outcome of the final in just one word:
