With the help of residents, BJP councillor Saurabh Joshi organised a green peace drive in Sector 15 and planted 500 saplings in the area.

Inspector general RP Upadhyaya was the chief guest.

Joshi said, “We are actually forgetting the environment because of our busy and fast life. It is continuously giving us and this is our duty that we care for it. Our city is known to be a green city so we should maintain this status. I am very thankful to the administration, the police and residents who took part in the initiative.”

Upadhyaya said, “With every breath, we are taking something or the other from the environment. I am happy to be part of this initiative and satisfied that I contributed.”

Sector 15 has two green belts and two parks. The plantation was carried out in the park adjoining the Verka milk booth and also in the park near nursing quarters.
