The CJM was booked after his wife Geetanjali's bullet-ridden body was found inside the Police Lines compound in Gurgaon on July 17.

While police initially claimed that it was a suicide,Geetanjali's family alleged that she was murdered.

Four days after the incident, a case of murder was lodged and sections relating to dowry death were added.
