Hafed bags India pride award again

The Haryana state cooperative supply and marketing federation (Hafed) has bagged the prestigious India pride award for the best performing state public sector undertaking in the agriculture and associate category for 2013-14.


This was the third consecutive year when Hafed had bagged the said award under the same category, an official release said here on Friday.

Stating that Hafed managing director Ashok Kumar Yadav received this award from union minister of state for planning and parliamentary affairs, Rajeev Shukla, at a function held at New Delhi late Thursday evening, the release said Hafed was the largest apex cooperative federation of the state with an annual turnover of Rs. 7,120 crore for 2012-13.

It is the sole nodal agency for arrangement and distribution of fertilisers through cooperative network in Haryana and is making timely arrangements of all kinds of fertilisers.

Accused supervisor still at large
