Haryana jawan allegedly commits suicide in Agartala

BSF jawan allegedly committed suicide here last evening by shooting himself from his service rifles at the sentry post at Samarendranagar border outpost in Belonia.


The victim was identified as Bijendra Singh (36), hailing from Haryana and posted in 89th battalion of BSF.
The body was sent to his residence on Sunday.

Allegedly, Bijendra was refused to go on leave resulting in the incident.

However, BSF spokesperson B S Rawat stated that Bijendra had enjoyed leave in September last and he did not have any leave to his credit this year.

According to report, Bijendra had hot altercation over telephone with his family before the incident and we are investigating the case, Rawat added.
