Haryana Parliamentary affairs minister Randeep Singh Surjewala on Saturday wrote to Union home minister Rajnath Singh asking him to withdraw the July 18 Ministry of Home Affairs letter which sought the withdrawal of assent by Governor to HSGMC 'Bill'. He has termed the MHA letter an affront to the federal structure and parliamentary democracy of the country.

Surjewala has also asked Singh to issue appropriate directions to Punjab government to desist from interfering into the affairs of Haryana within its territorial jurisdiction.
