The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has decided to allot sites to political parties on freehold basis to construct headquarters in Panchkula.

A spokesperson said in release on Friday that applications had been invited for the allotment of sites in Sector 32. The area of each site will be 4,087 sq mt and would have tentative cost of more than Rs. 8.29 crore. The last date for receipt of applications is April 29.

Nationally recognised political parties and those recognised by Haryana would be eligible to apply, the spokesperson said. Political parties having no member in the state assembly as on the last date of the receipt of applications would not be eligible to apply.

Apart from this, a political party would not be eligible if a site had already been allotted to it in the Panchkula urban estate, he added.

A demand draft for Rs. 82, 96,610, equivalent to 10% of the total tentative cost of the plot at the rate of Rs. 20,300 per sq mt, and drawn in the favour of estate officer, HUDA, Panchkula, should be attached with the application.

The format of application and terms and condition can be downloaded from HUDA's website
