Delegations of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Bharatiya Janata Party submitted their respective memoranda to the chief election commissioner (CEC) VS Sampath, who was here on Friday to review the poll arrangements, demanding immediate probe into alleged bogus votes in the state.

Led by general secretary RS Chaudhry, the INLD delegation asked Sampath to ensure deletion of a large number of bogus votes which had come to light in several assembly segments, especially in Kaithal area.

The INLD also sought immediate enforcement of model code of conduct as the state government was spending public money on advertisements and glorifying a particular leader.

The BJP delegation which was led by Gian Chand Gupta also sought a special campaign in the state to check bogus votes. The BJP leaders also named two booths in Hisar where they alleged that 50% votes were bogus.

They also asked the CEC for a single window system for taking permissions of rally spots, loudspeaker and other facilities during elections.

The CPM sought a check on the use of black money before and during the elections.
