The Indian National Lok Dal on Monday stood by its “chargesheet” on corruption in chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s government and termed his rebuttal on the same as “comical”.

The INLD had on Saturday submitted the “chargesheet” to governor Kaptan Singh Solanki listing out alleged corruption and also several properties allegedly owned by Hooda and his relatives. Hooda on Sunday termed the “chargesheet” as baseless and a bundle of lies and sought an immediate public apology from the INLD failing which, he said, he would sue the INLD for defamation.

INLD national general secretary RS Chaudhary said in a release that the INLD stood by its “chargesheet” and sought Hooda’s resignation instead. He said if the INLD came to power in the ensuing assembly polls, it would expose all irregularities mentioned in its “chargesheet”.

A rare compliment

I realise now why people take even the compliment as complaint. We have assumed that only finding faults and criticising gets things done. Compliment is rare. In teenage, I had the notion that my father made a mountain out of every molehill about me. Writes DC Sharma.
