Issues with land registration? Mohali DC checks over phone

To ensure transparency and efficiency in the official works at government offices of land registration, deputy commissioner of SAS Nagar, Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu, on Wednesday, enquired from the people, who came for registration of their land at Kharar tehsil, about any problem they faced during land registration.

The DC randomly inspects the works of land registration being carried out by the sub-registrar and joint sub-registrars.

The daily reports, submitted by the offices concerned, contain the mobile phone numbers of the buyers and the DC recently has started enquiring the people regarding their land registration problems over phone.

Sidhu said the main motive to enquire the same through telephone was to ensure transparency and efficiency in the official works in government offices.

He added that corruption would not be acceptable.
The DC directed the additional deputy commissioner and all SDMs present there to ensure random checkings at their own level.

200 Pakistani pilgrims denied entry into India
