Amid lukewarm response to the Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) chief Gopal Kanda’s rally at Jind on Sunday, the former home minister faced another embarrassment as posters of former airhostess Geetika Sharma had appeared across Jind town.

Notably, Gopal Kanda, who is also independent MLA from Sirsa, had been facing abetment to suicide charges in connection with the death of Geetika Sharma, who was an air-hostess with the Kanda's now defunct MDLR Airlines.

Addressing the gathering at Safidon road in Jind, Kanda in his rhetoric filled speech vowed to support the cause of women in state. He said that his party if voted to power would initiate several welfare schemes related to girl child that would take care of everything from her upbringing to education and marriage.

Urging electorate to vote for his party, HLP leader said that BJP was dependent on leaders of other parties to contest on all 90 assembly segments.
