Major administrative reshuffle in Haryana

In a major administrative reshuffle on Thursday night, Haryana government appointed Ambala deputy commissioner, Shekhar Vidyarthi as deputy commissioner of Gurgaon replacing Phool Chand Meena. Director general, Agriculture, Apoorva Kumar Singh has been appointed as the new chief administrator of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA).

Additional chief secretary (ACS), PWD (B&R), SC Chaudhary has been posted as ACS, transport and civil aviation in place of Hardeep Kumar. Kumar has now been posted as principal secretary, excise and taxation replacing Rajan Gupta. Principal secretary, finance, Sanjeev Kaushal has been posted as principal secretary, PWD (B&R) replacing SC Chaudhary. While Rajan Gupta has been appointed as principal secretary, Finance.

Chandigarh: 5 flights cancelled due to heavy fog

Owing to low visibility not even a single flight operated from the Chandigarh airport on Saturday morning. As the visibility dipped to less than 150 meters owing to thick blanket of fog five flights were cancelled.
