Man booked for molestation

The city police on Saturday booked a man for allegedly attempting to molest a women and passing lewdre marks last October.

The woman alleged that that a shopkeeper at Sector 34, Rajeev Kumar, misbehaved with her when she had gone to shop to ask him to replace a computer mouse. Kumar used foul language and even pushed her out of the shop when she refused to comply with his demands.

On Saturday, upon directions from a local court, police have booked a man for causing hurt, sexual harassment and criminal intimidation. Cops said a probe was on.

200 Pakistani pilgrims denied entry into India

Around 200 Pakistani pilgrims headed for a Sufi shrine in Indian Punjab have been refused entry into India, a media report said on Friday. The Pakistanis wanted to attend the annual Urs of Hazrat Mujaddid Alif Sani at Sirhind in Punjab, the Dawn reported.
