Modi talks on women empowerment on 'Chai Pe Charcha'

The initiative of the Bharatiya Janata Party, "Chai Pe Charcha"with emphasis on women empowerment was held at 1,500 places across the country on Saturday.


In Panchkula, the initiative took place at two places, one Sector 16 market and the other in a restaurant in Sector 14. The programme was mainly aimed at empowering the women in the country. Narendra Modi through video-conferencing shared his views with the women in different parts of the country and also heard their suggestions patiently.

He reiterated that if the BJP was voted to power, the women of the country would get major share in governance. He talked about saving girl child and also emphasised the need of women in politics and judiciary. Modi said there would be no discrimination if he was voted to power. He also said the women should be part of decision making. Modi added that girl education should be taken as a priority and if the women of the country was educated it would help uplift the society.

All major party leaders and workers, including the convener of the programme Rekha Sharma and Ajay Mittal were present on the occasion.
