Neighbour attacks retired judge

A retired judge, a resident of Phase 7 SAS Nagar, has complained that his neighbour assaulted him with a hockey stick following a minor argument at his house on Thursday.

The victim Aftab Singh Bakshi, 87, complained to the police that he sustained head injuries in the assault.

The accused has been identified as Bunny Khalon, employed with the Merchant Navy, has been booked under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC at the Mataur police station.

The accused filed an application to the SSP on Friday alleging that he had been implicated, following which an inquiry was marked to SP Swarandeep Singh.

Kahlon is an AAP member and on Friday, several AAP party workers along with their district convener met the SSP and gave an application that Kahlon was being falsely targeted.
