Now, submit forms for new power connections online

The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) will start a facility of online submission of forms for the new electricity connections from November 15.

The chairman and managing director, DHBVN and UHBVN, Devender Singh, said in a release on Saturday that in the first phase, the prospective consumers of all categories seeking connection of 20-kilowatt (KW) load or above could submit their application forms through the discoms' websites www.dhbvn.com and www.uhbvn.com www.uhbvn.com.

The industrial consumers seeking connections of 10-KW load or more will have the facility in the first phase, while all other prospective consumers would have it in the next phase.

The CMD said that in the new system, the status of release of connections would be monitored closely at the head office and the consumers would be given the facility to follow the actions taken on their applications and, thus, put pressure on officials to take prompt action.

The management would take suo motu action on delay in the release of connections, Singh added.
