Factory owners in the state will now not have to visit government offices to get a building plan approve and register, renewal of licences as the government was implementing Online Factory Registration Information System (OFRIS) in the state.
The National Informatics Centre (NIC) had developed OFRIS software to facilitate the factory owners in the state. It could be accessed through www.admis.hp.noic.in/ofris and detailed guidelines of the process can be accessed through www.admis.hp.nic.in/ofris/guidelines.
It provides an automated and transparent interface into the process of registration and renewal of licences.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, a government spokesperson informed that those units which were already registered manually now have to apply online for renewal by September 15 to enable the department to process the application by October 31.
He added online payment of related fees under the Factories Act, 1948, through net banking will do away with visit of applicant to bank and treasure and will provide fair and in time processing of various approvals.
“The software offers an automated and transparent interface for the approval of building plan and factory registration thereby streamlining the functioning of the whole process,” he noted.
He said it would also help in reducing the time span of the registration process of the factories and building plan approvals and would also ascertain the status of application submitted.
