Over Rs. 60 lakh recovered in burglary cases this year

The local police claimed to have arrested a total of 88 people during 2013 involved in cases of robbery.


As many as 57 robbery cases were registered up to December 20 this year.

According to a press statement, police claimed that as many as 127 people involved in snatching were apprehended, while 131 were nabbed for their involvement in burglary from January 1 to December 15.

A total of 451 people were arrested in other theft cases. The police recovered Rs. 3, 37,350 in robbery cases, Rs. 12, 99,631 in snatching cases, Rs. 62, 50,945 in burglary cases and Rs. 98, 85,310 in other theft cases.
