Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ashok Tanwar on Thursday said the party’s ‘Vijay Sankalp Rally’ at Panipat on August 24 would the biggest rally ever held in the state, where the state government will present its last 10 years vast development report card.

Tanwar was accorded a warm welcome by party workers at Congress Bhawan when his ‘Haryana Jodo Yatra’ started from Panchkula reached Sirsa.

Addressing party workers, Tanwar said, “The ‘Haryana Jodo Yatra’ has been getting the huge response from across the state. And I was sure that the Congress would win the forthcoming assembly elections and would form the government for consecutively third time.”

He appealed to the party workers to attend the Panipat ‘Vijay Sankalp Rally’ on 24 August in huge numbers.

Tanwar said this yatra has only purpose to unite people and explain to them the policies and programmes of the Congress.

Lashing out on the opposition parties, Tanwar said they have no agenda for the upcoming assembly elections and are just making false promises to the people and trying to fool them. But people are completely aware with their propaganda, he added.

Hoshiyari Lal Sharma, state Congress spokesperson said, the Congress would form government for third consecutive time in the state after the assembly elections. He claimed that in the ‘Vijay Sankalp Rally’ the most of the number of the workers would be from Sirsa.

Notably, after a long time all the Congress leaders of district were present at a stage.
